Abstract
El texto toca diferentes asuntos: las experiencias del autor en los colegios de traducción que le hacen confirmar directamente lo que es un traductor de oficio y un traductor creador, quién, en principio, vive de la traducción y quién lo hace por deleite. Parafraseando a Paul Valéry, la traducción de poemas imperecederos es un trabajo que no se termina, sino simplemente se abandona. Cada generación debe hacerlo. Las inseguridades cuando se traduce. Aproximaciones cercanas y lejanas. Porqué y para qué traducir. Si la poesía es una manera de transformar al mundo, la traducción de la poesía es una nueva transformación. De las arduas dificultades silábicas, rítmicas, de sentido, de palabras y de espacios en blanco al traducir. ¿Es necesaria al traductor la teoría para la práctica? ¿Hay una poética de la traducción o cada traductor tiene la suya? Esencial importancia de la poesía como formadora de pueblos. El poema puede traducirse desde distintos ángulos. Varios y variados tipos de traducción.
