Neumonía nosocomial por Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Abstract

Hospital-acquired pneumonia due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a disease that is frequently associated to high mortality. Risk factors, both from the host and the bacterium, account for its mortality and are reviewed in this paper. Early diagnosis and aggressive treatment are clues for improving the patient’s outcome measured in terms of survival.
