Abstract

Los conceptos centrales sobre el funcionamiento de la naturaleza y los efectos que en ella provoca la intervención humana no forman parte aún del conocimiento básico de nuestras sociedades. Por esa razón, ha sido muy difícil en el último medio siglo —cuando los problemas ambientales comenzaron a agudizarse de manera vertiginosa— encontrar soluciones y aplicarlas para revertir las tendencias de deterioro que destruyen la naturaleza. Para nosotros resulta cierto el dicho de que “no se cuida lo que no se conoce”. Por ello, con este libro pretendemos que el estudiante conozca las reglas de la naturaleza que rigen la compleja relación entre los organismos y el medio que los rodea. | The central concepts about the functioning of nature and the effects that it causes Human intervention is not yet part of the basic knowledge of our societies.
