Estudios Bolivianos No 13. El espacio urbano andino: escenario de reversiones y reinversiones del orden simbólico colonial

Abstract

De un reciente proyecto de Historia crítica de la literatura en Bolivia retomamos entonces el espíritu de una propuesta: aquella que en la historia de nuestros imaginarios distingue dos arcos (el colonial y el moderno) desplegándose no en una dimensión restringidamente histórica, sino en la dimensión de eso que Barthes llamaba la «historia profunda»: la de los conflictos y mutaciones del hombre en su relación con el mundo, con el otro, en su relación con el sentido. En esta perspectiva, y muy esquemáticamente, entendemos el orden simbólico colonial como el régimen en el que impera la reproducción y la imposición de sentidos, la lógica del símbolo: un orden que no ha dejado de reactivarse desde la colonia hasta nuestra presumida modernidad (reinversiones), un orden que no ha dejado de problematizarse desde diversas formas el cuestionamiento de los sentidos instituidos (reversiones). | From a recent project on the critical history of literature in Bolivia, we took up again the spirit of a proposal: that in the history of our imaginaries distinguishes two arches (the colonial and the modern) unfolding not in a restricted historical dimension, but in the dimension of what Barthes called the "deep history": that of the conflicts and mutations of man in his relationship with the world, with the other, in his relation to meaning. In this perspective, and very schematically, we understand the colonial symbolic order as the regime in which reproduction and the imposition of meanings prevail, the logic of the symbol: an order that has not stopped reactivating from the colony to our presumed modernity (reinvestments ), an order that has been problematized in various ways the questioning of the senses instituted (reversals).
