Introduction. The climacteric is a period of variable duration in a woman's life which is characterized by important changes at the endocrine, physical and psychological level. In addition, it is influenced by cultural and social issues. Objective. The aim is to know the gender stereotypes about menopause in different sociocultural contexts.
