Abstract
The main purpose of this action research was the study and application of podcast as a didactic strategy to promote the development and improvement of speaking skills in English as a Foreign Language as well as listening comprehension, in a small group of students of the Academia Angloamericana in Merida-Venezuela. For the development of this research, theoretical criteria such as Student’s podcast, M-learning and Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) were taken into consideration. The instruments to collect the data were the mixed questioner, the Likert scale and the rubric. For this study, there were a total of 7 English Foreign Language’s students and the results obtained showed an improvement in their speaking skills of the English language through the podcasts that they created themselves as well as the development of students’ autonomy in their learning process.
