Representaciones de docentes de geografía sobre su labor pedagógica en el trabajo escolar cotidiano
Abstract
This article explains the social representations of geography teachers about their pedagogical work in everyday school work. The motive was to reveal their empirical conceptions by applying the foundations of the interpretive approach. In this regard, a pedagogical workshop was held where teachers were questioned, applying an essay-type test and obtaining their criteria on teaching geography. His opinion on the time and its effects on educational action, geographical reality and the teacher, updating the geography teacher, community reality and students, the challenges of geographical teaching and didactic renewal in the face of social needs were found. It concludes that teaching geography means making citizens literate in the explanatory treatment of community problems and promoting research as a pedagogical alternative.
