Abstract
The south of the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara had a strong growth process in the years from 1940 to 1970 due to a process of migration from neighboring states and the rural areas of Jalisco, as well as from other places accompanying the simultaneous process of growth of the industrial zone and the urban area. After an irregular sale of lots, the inhabitants of the Lomas de Polanco neighborhood are victims of threats of eviction, in addition to lacking basic services. With the arrival of the Jesuits and the presence of the diocesan clergy and reparative nuns, a pastoral praxis began with the orientation of the preferential option for the poor, resulting in the emergence of the Base Ecclesial Communities. The pastoral praxis of these communities is accompanied by pedagogical differentials in the awareness and participation in various demands for the regularization of their lots and the obtaining of basic services. In the present study, the aesthetic elements are recovered after the pedagogical differentials of these practices that contributed to the formation of critical consciousness and the resignification of space, in the years from 1973 to 1995.
