PedagogIA: oportunidades y desafíos para enseñar en la era de la inteligencia artificial
Abstract
In the age of artificial intelligence (AI), the educational field faces the need to integrate tools like large language models (LLMs), which offer both promises and significant challenges. This article explores the opportunities that generative AI brings to higher education, while also acknowledging the inherent risks and ethical dilemmas. Through concrete experiences and usage examples, practical applications of AI are presented, including the creation of assessment rubrics, customization of chatbots for feedback, question generation, content management on learning management system (LMS) platforms, among others. Concerns about algorithmic biases and the reliability of generated information are also addressed, proposing critical and ethical approaches for the responsible adoption of these tools in the classroom. This text invites educators to reflect on their role in a context where AI is already a permanent component, suggesting that the key to harnessing its potential lies in guiding students toward an informed and creative use that enriches, rather than replaces, the learning process.
