RESUMEN: El artículo analiza la primera sentencia del Tribunal dejusticiadela Unión europea sobre la trascendental cuestión de la definición del embrión humano. Una interpretación según valores, que afirma la preferencia jerárquica de la dignidad humana sobre los intereses de naturaleza patrimonial y mercantil.
