MOVIMIENTOS SOCIALES E INTERNET: DE LA POLÍTICA CENTRALIZADA A LA POLÍTICA DISTRIBUIDA
Abstract
From the review and discussion of the concepts of information age, network society and the role of the Internet, on the one hand, together with the notions of politics and social movements, on the other, a theoretical comprehension scheme for the networked social movements is proposed, under the umbrella of the network paradigm. It is concluded that a networked social movement is not reduced to an organizational structure or a repertoire of action, but that it has at the same time dimensions of online and offline communication, organization and action, and that its action is part of the distribution of politics.
