Abstract
El estudio, a partir de información cualitativa y cuantitativa, analiza los conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas sobre la violencia de género en estudiantes universitarios de las 13 Facultades de la UMSA. Uno de los principales hallazgos de este informe establece que tanto hombres como mujeres ejercen conductas agresivas. Es decir, la violencia de género es bi-direccional. La investigación fue coordinada por el Fondo de Población de las Naciones Unidas (UNFPA) y ejecutada por el Instituto de Investigaciones Sociológicas (IDIS) y el Instituto de Estadística Teórica y Aplicada (IETA). La violencia psicológica es la más cotidiana, identificándose como las principales situaciones a las siguientes: humillación, desvalorización, burlas y ridiculización, insultos, gritos, amenazas y celos. También se menciona como factores de la violencia psicológica al hecho de que no se permita la visita de los parientes y/o amigos, que la pareja decida sobre la ropa, el maquillaje y el peinado. La segunda forma de violencia identificada es la violencia física: sopapos, golpes, puñetazos, rotura de huesos, empujones, jalones. La tercera forma de violencia que identifican los y las jóvenes universitarios es la violencia sexual, entre éstas se encuentran el obligar a la pareja a tener relaciones sexuales o que te toque en partes íntimas sin consentimiento.
The study, based on qualitative and quantitative information, analyzes the knowledge, attitudes and practices about gender violence in university students of the 13 Faculties of the UMSA. One of the main findings of this report sta-tes that both men and women engage in aggressive behavior. That is, gender violence is bi-directional. The research was coordinated by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and implemented by the Institute for Sociological Research (IDIS) and the Institute for Theoretical and Applied Statistics (IETA). Psychological violence is the most common, identifying as the main situations the following: humiliation, devaluation, ridicule and ridicule, insults, shouting, threats and jealousy. It is also mentioned as factors of psychological violence to the fact that the visit of the relatives and / or friends is not allowed, that the couple decides on the clothes, the make-up and the hairstyle. The second form of violence identified is physical violence: punching, punching, punching, breaking bones, pushing, punching. The third form of violence identified by university students is sexual violence, which includes forcing a partner to have sex or to touch intimate parts without consent.
