Abstract
El estrés académico se manifiesta cuando los estudiantes perciben su entorno educativo como abrumador, pudiendo desencadenar trastornos sistémicos. En este contexto, el estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el nivel de estrés académico entre estudiantes universitarios de fisioterapia en una institución de Lima. Esta investigación se enmarcó en un enfoque cuantitativo de tipo básico con un diseño descriptivo. Se empleó el Inventario de SISCO de Barraza en 2007, el cual evaluó tres dimensiones: estresores, síntomas y estrategias de afrontamiento. Los hallazgos revelaron que el 74,5% de los estudiantes experimentan un nivel moderado de estrés académico, con porcentajes del 63,7%, 69,1% y 81,4% en las dimensiones de estresores, síntomas y estrategias de afrontamiento respectivamente. De esta manera, se deduce que los estudiantes de fisioterapia universitarios mantienen un nivel de estrés académico moderado, subrayando la necesidad de implementar estrategias de apoyo para fomentar un desarrollo integral óptimo en su formación profesional.
Academic stress is manifested when students perceive their educational environment as overwhelming, which can trigger systemic disorders. In this context, the study aimed to evaluate the level of academic stress among physiotherapy undergraduate students at an institution in Lima. This research was framed within a basic quantitative approach with a descriptive design. Barraza's 2007 SISCO Inventory was used, which assessed three dimensions: stressors, symptoms and coping strategies. The findings revealed that 74.5% of the students experience a moderate level of academic stress, with percentages of 63.7%, 69.1% and 81.4% in the dimensions of stressors, symptoms and coping strategies respectively. Thus, it is deduced that undergraduate physical therapy students maintain a moderate level of academic stress, highlighting the need to implement support strategies to promote optimal integral development in their professional training.
