Abstract
Poner en marcha la economía circular en una Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales permite la recuperación y reutilización de recursos como agua y nutrientes, transformándola de un centro de costos, a uno que genera valor económico y ambiental. Es por ello que se planteó analizar su implementación en la Planta de Tratamiento de Aguas Residuales-PTAR de San Jerónimo de Cusco, evaluando su viabilidad económica, ambiental y operativa. La metodología se fundamentó en un enfoque cualitativo de nivel descriptivo-correlacional y diseño de campo con la realización de entrevistas a 6 trabajadores de la planta seleccionados por un muestreo intencional. Los resultados apuntaron a que el éxito del proyecto radica en el desarrollo de estrategias que optimicen el reaprovechamiento de recursos, mejoren la eficiencia operativa y reduzcan los impactos ambientales, por tanto, se propone optimizar la infraestructura tecnológica de la PTAR enfatizando en la transformación y valorización de biosólidos y biogás.

For this reason, it was proposed to analyze its implementation in the San Jeronimo de Cusco Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP), evaluating its economic, environmental and operational feasibility. The results showed that the success of the project lies in the development of strategies that optimize the reuse of resources, improve operational efficiency and reduce environmental impacts, therefore, it is proposed to optimize the technological infrastructure of the WWTP emphasizing the transformation and valorization of biosolids and biogas.
