Abstract
El estudio evaluó la efectividad agronómica de diferentes fuentes de fertilizantes fosfatados en el cultivo de maíz en Santa Elena, Concepción, Paraguay, entre septiembre y diciembre de 2023. El objetivo fue comparar el impacto del superfosfato triple y TOP PHOS, aplicados en dosis de 0, 45, 90 y 135 kg ha⁻¹ de P₂O₅, sobre el crecimiento y rendimiento del maíz. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con esquema bifactorial y tres repeticiones. Las variables analizadas incluyeron altura de planta, longitud y diámetro de mazorca, y rendimiento. Los resultados mostraron que la fuente de fósforo no influyó significativamente en la altura de planta ni en las dimensiones de la mazorca, pero sí lo hicieron las dosis de P₂O₅. El mayor rendimiento (no se especifica el valor exacto) se obtuvo con 90 kg ha⁻¹ de P₂O₅ y superfosfato triple. Se concluye que la dosis de 90 kg ha⁻¹ de P₂O₅ favorece la productividad del maíz en estas condiciones.
This study evaluated the agronomic effectiveness of different sources of phosphate fertilizers on corn crops in Santa Elena, Concepción, Paraguay, between September and December 2023. The objective was to compare the impact of triple superphosphate and TOP PHOS, applied at doses of 0, 45, 90, and 135 kg ha⁻¹ of P₂O₅, on corn growth and yield. A randomized complete block design with a two-factor scheme and three replications was used. The variables analyzed included plant height, ear length and diameter, and yield. The results showed that the phosphorus source did not significantly influence plant height or ear dimensions, but P₂O₅ doses did. The highest yield (the exact value is not specified) was obtained with 90 kg ha⁻¹ of P₂O₅ and triple superphosphate. It is concluded that a dose of 90 kg ha⁻¹ of P₂O₅ improves corn productivity under these conditions.
