Impacto de la educación virtual en el rendimiento escolar primario durante la pandemia de COVID-19

Abstract
El confinamiento durante la pandemia de COVID-19 obligó a suspender las clases presenciales e implementar como alternativa modelos de educación en línea. Esta investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar el impacto de la educación virtual en el rendimiento escolar durante la pandemia COVID-19, en estudiantes de primaria pertenecientes a una institución educativa particular, en Perú, durante el período comprendido entre 2020 a 2021. Se utilizó un diseño no experimental, explicativo, transversal, con un enfoque cuantitativo y una muestra de 231 estudiantes. Los resultados revelaron que la distribución de la muestra presenta un equilibrio cercano a la paridad, con una leve predominancia de las mujeres y aquellos que se encontraban en cuarto grado de primaria. Además, la edad promedio se situó en 9.5 años con una desviación estándar de 1.2 años. Se concluye que las tres dimensiones clave de la educación virtual analizadas tienen una influencia positiva y significativa sobre el rendimiento escolar.
The lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic forced the suspension of in-person classes and the implementation of online education models as an alternative. This research aimed to determine the impact of virtual education on academic performance during the COVID-19 pandemic among primary school students attending a private educational institution in Peru, from 2020 to 2021. A non-experimental, explanatory, cross-sectional design was used, with a quantitative approach and a sample of 231 students. The results revealed that the sample distribution was close to parity, with a slight predominance of women and those in fourth grade. Furthermore, the average age was 9.5 years, with a standard deviation of 1.2 years. It is concluded that the three key dimensions of virtual education analyzed have a positive and significant influence on academic performance.
