Abstract
Este estudio presenta una metodología de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo básica, diseño descriptivo correlacional, donde se investigó la relación entre inteligencia emocional, competencias comunicativas y el desempeño docente en Instituciones Educativas Penitenciarias. Utilizando análisis inferenciales, se encontró una correlación significativa entre inteligencia emocional (r = 0.735) y competencias comunicativas (r = 0.943) con el desempeño docente, con una significancia estadística de p < 0.001. Los resultados destacan la importancia de fortalecer estos atributos para mejorar la calidad educativa en contextos penitenciarios, alineándose con el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible 4 (Educación de calidad). En donde se concluye la necesidad de implementar programas que fomenten el desarrollo de inteligencia emocional y competencias comunicativas entre los docentes como parte integral de su formación profesional.
